Housing is a privilege.

Marriage is a privilege.

Minimum wage is a privilege.

We still need to fight for accessibility and equity for all disabled people.

You're not nomads relying on each other to hunt and gather anymore, you're talking about stocking shelves for fucking wal marts
And even the oldest societies on earth all took care of the elderly or sick anyway
at times when hope is too big of a thing to have, curiosity (even clinical or small) is a very good placeholder
asking myself "why continue" & finding the answer is always, in some form, "i want to know what happens next", even if that want is tired or detached or outright morbid
